Adding the brace cured that but, after the fact, I noticed something even more obvious. My forks had been flexing and had been doing so even before the 2" extension or any other mods. The flex IS there. You just don't notice it until you take it away by installing the brace.
The handling after the brace is installed is well,,, awkward for the first few hours. Cornering is rock solid but less forgiving and it takes some muscle memory adjustment before you get used to the change. After that,, yesss ! you'll naturally corner more aggressively and with more confidence. Nothing affects your path while cornering but you. Its like you are riding on a rail compared to the unbraced forks.
Bottom line is you shouldn't need to add a brace if you don't experience the wiggle,, or even then I doubt its entirely necessary. If, for any reason, you put the brace on. You'll never take it off I assure you.
Another HDF member I like to compare notes with, braced his Dyna on spec and was similarly impressed. Dyna fronts and BO fronts are quite similar.
Hope this helps.
Oh, If you check out the one brace that fits the BO on the SuperBrace site, and you're contemplating the bright colored one, know their photo doesn't do the thing justice. The bright brace is very shiny and matches chrome parts very well. If you're considering the black one, no issue.
