I’m wanting to find nice short straight risers to fit some Carlini Menace bars to. Can’t stand the ugly factory pull back ones the BO 2K18 comes with! Someone earlier mentioned Thunderbike and I saw some on Dark-Parts website in Germany but be prepared to pay up large. When’s a US made option going to appear? If anyone has the word please post it here!
Tbh for breakout there was never a serious "us option". The option was thunderbike or buy a cvo riser setup which required the base risers and a new Speedo cup. The thunderbike option was cheaper by at least 1-2 hundred bucks and was guaranteed to be made for breakout. I'd take that in a heartbeat.
Could someone please make a step by step video that are female friendly on how to replace bar and risers for a 2013 to 2017 Harley Breakout please ???
I dont know how to undo the brake and the clutch and the grip it's really frightening and intimidating - i am so tired of getting ripped off by the dealerships.
Most of the videos I've seen are for guys and it's really hard to understand what they are saying?
They quoted me $2500 to do bar replacement I'll even pay you direct to your paypal for your time
<3 thank you <3
I think it's great that you are into bikes like you are. I'm sure there are enough mechanically inclined people on here that could get yo through the swap but just make sure they are not illegal where you live or intend on traveling to. For instance I've heard horror stories about guys putting 18 inch bars on their scoots and riding to Sturgis only to receive huge tickets and the privilege of having to return to South Dakota for a court date! (BTW, How you going with them?
As the owner of a 17 Breakout and still reading everything about the lack of parts for not only our bikes, but the the new ones as well, I'm starting to find this very annoying. This is not a fad, we are not going anywhere, start making **** for our bikes already!!! Ok, rant over.
Just got the Breakout back after dyno tuning, it already had a Revolution perf 107 kit done with 10.5:1 comp, stage 3 heads and a 594 Fueling cam. My belt got chewed up by a rock, so I replaced the belt and did the 30/70 gear swap and since the bike would be down for a while I had HPI do a 55/58mm throttle body for me. because of the loss in velocity from the larger throttle body, I lost about 4 lb/ft of tq, but picked up 5 hp. Because of the gear change, the loss of tq was a wash as far as the seat of the pants dyno is concerned, but above 3000 rpm, this thing will suck you're eyeballs into the back of you're head. It is what we here refer to as stupid fast and with Basanni Pro Street Turnouts, loud as hell. Not the bike you want to ride everyday, but if you are looking to go get yourself into trouble, this is the bike to do it on. By far the most fun to ride Harley have ever owned. Next step is send it up to Scott at Hillside to shave the heads to bring the compression to 11.5:1 where the cam works best and have it retuned by the master.

l bought the Thunderbike risers for my 17 cvo bo and these are very very nice quality. They don’t charge that much for parts but the shipping is higher then hell. Alsoi got them in less than a week.

Parts to modify a Breakout aren't rare. Owing, apparently, to limited merchant and Dealer knowledge, it just seems that way. Thats what makes this thread the necessity it is. Guys who "know" what works, post here and enable the rest of us to modify these machines extensively.
Has as anyone here chopped their factory rear fender like the one in the pics here? I’ve seen this bike on the web in different places over the past couple of years, but never able to find any write up on how to cut and finish the fender supports. Would really like to do this on mine.
Hi.....I have been looking at options for a solo seat and came across the Bare Bones Up Front. I understand that you didn’t install it but I was wondering if you had heard of how it looks/feels on the Breakout. Is yours still for sale?
