Ahhh...you wouldn't say that if you rode the new 18's
I don't want to stir the pot. I know the 18's aren't everyone's cup of tea when it comes to styling but
having rode both bikes for extensive periods of time the 18 is hands down a better handling/performing machine.
dont get me wrong the 17's and older are amazing as well...but that new chassis makes the wide *** of the breakout handle like a bike should

I am envious of the new geometry in the rear with that badass mono shock setup. But the rake on my 14 is what turns heads and makes me love my bike.

I agree with the handling of the '18 model ..... but but let us be serious, look at that gas tank , sorry I could not resist

Hahahaha yeah that's fair. The gas tank looks out of place on the big bike for sure. Surprisingly mileage is about the same per tank...but I have to agree with you there. Bigger tank would suit the look

I'm sure reducing the wheelbase of the by 3" or so made the 18's more nimble in the twisties etc. Thats just science. However, a machine which holds more oil than fuel is just plain wrong IMHO.

Again, with the wheelbase,,I extended my 2014 forks by 2" just for style points so thats where I am on that score.

Default Ride

i have ridden both I own a16, while the ride of the 18 is a bit softer, I like the look of the pre 18. And shotgun suspension is easier and cheaper than correcting the neck geometry and small tank on the 18 plus. Although that 114 does make them scoot a bit faster even in bone stock form. IMHO.
