That temp gauge/dip stick mod is really cool. Nice job.
How are the temp gauge and the cap joined/sealed together?

Set it with Automotive Goop and then poured in some Hi-Temp Silicone to seal it. Got the other thumb levers done. Shortened up the peg and did a silver inlay. Seems to look a little better than the first try.

Damn brother that looks clean!!! Very impressive, and better looking than the original IMO. Are you in the market to sell them...I see you mentioned that you made a couple extra. I'm a man in need...

I just ordered a softail reach handlebar for my breakout, model 55800188. Anyone know if I'll need a new set of clutch/brake cables?

Alright fellas, need some input. I was thoroughly cleaning my bike after Thunder Beach, and noticed that a drain tube dumps out behind the primary and drips right onto the frame rail. The paint has started to peel, so I'm assuming it's the fuel vent drain line. I pulled the seat off and the line follows the frame rail up under the tank, so that's really the only thing it could be. Has anybody else noticed this, or rerouted that hose to dump straight to the ground?

Has there been a thread for "gotchas" for new Breakout owners??? That would be nice to know about stuff like this before it happens, i.e. tightening the stupid ignition thumb **** set screw before it falls off. I found multiple threads about that stupid thing falling off, and most people comment AFTER the part fell off. It would be handy to have a preemptive thread for this stuff....

A “gotcha” thread’s a great idea. Good pin thread too.

Ya, when I reached down to turn off my bike, I was livid!!! I have over 21k in my bike now, and a stupid $17 part falls off because HD decided not to Loctite it. It's the principle, but whatever. So it's up to us to help educate others on their new purchases. Honestly, I've owned my Breakout for little over 3 months now and am figuring some stuff out on my own the hard way. I also lost the damn passenger seat mounting bolt...it came off during a separate ride. And the LO RNG thing... People on this forum are awesome for help, but ya, if we had a central thread or sticky to go to for known "issues" that new bike owners could go to, I think it would save some headache in the long run for people, like myself.
