Any ideas on what will look good and sound good but won't break the bank? Been looking at Vansen Hines black widow's but... I'm not really sure if they will look good on it, or give me the sound I want. Any help would be really appreciated.
I changed to V&H slip-ons but still found the sound lacking, then I pulled the baffles and installed the Thunder Torque Inserts, (Lollipop baffles) provided by DK Custom. "What a great idea these things are" ! They are very inexpensive and easy to install / remove so should you not like em,,, "meh",,, toss em, but you'll probably love em. I do.

Looking to change the colour on my Breakout and I want to pick up a extra set of tins to paint. I find that I can get much better pricing on the Softail Tanks compared
to the Breakout Tank. I would much rather have the Breakout Tank so maybe I should just wait for a while and see if something comes up at a decent price.
I know that when I changed the dash on my 2014 BO, it was with the HD "Blackline" dash and parts. You may want to check and see if the larger, (older), BO tanks are actually from the former Blackline model. It may give you another price option,,, but I'm not at all sure.

HKMark23, Thanks for the information. I got lucky and found a Breakout Tank. Now if I can just find a front and rear fender I will have it made. I can not post yet in the Member Advertisements because of my post count.
I think I might look at doing the Blackline Dash when I get the new tank and fenders painted. Thanks.....

Here are the parts needed: The part number is 1311d for the self sealing screws.

Console 71340-11 $150 USD
Trim insert 72775-11 $15 USD
Inst. Moulding 71576-08a (need 2 of these) $5 USD x 2 = $10 USD
Top Plate 60900001 $45 USD Total = $ 220 USD

This list is getting quite dated so prices have no doubt changed for the worse. Nonetheless, these are the parts you'll need for the dash installation. I had mine chromed which cost another 150 bux at the time.

Enjoy !

Blackline dash is a great bolt on mod no matter what color the bike.

I'm going to post this elsewhere, but this pipe will be for sale. Great pipe, d&d bobcat. 400 bucks, buyer pays shipping.

Currently on a 124, was on ny 103 stage 2 also.

Also, have you lowered your bike? I;d like to lower mine but am concerned about bottoming out when riding 2-up. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Sorry for the delayed response... The seat is the 2018 factory seat. Its just barely enough to keep me in it under WOT... I still slide back a hair sometimes...

SPEED SAFE, NICK

Default Best care and cleaning products

Hey guys, I just bought a 2014 cvo breakout from Harley. It was used and I noticed some minor blemishes and scratches that I would like to get rid of possibly. Long story short the people at Harley didn't know what I should use because of my paint job. I have the hand polished metal finish that is silver and black and very shiny. So my question here is given my paint job and the clear coating on it, what is the best way to clean and care for this bike? What's the best soap(for body and the rest of the chrome), the best polish for the body and the chrome, etc etc. And what product would be my best bet for trying to cover up or remove those blemishes and scuffs and scratches? Thank you guys and ride safe!

I use the www.adamspolishes.com line of products, they are all color coded to pads and polishes so you don’t use the wrong pad with the wrong polish. Post some pics of the scratches, if you can catch a fingernail in a scratch it is beyond polishing out, their whole line of products are great, from car wash to waxes, I use them on my bike and my camaro for shows

new pipe and retune. Just want some bigger tubes for the cubes.

Going with a 2 inch primary rb racing prostock. No baffle with the 12 degree collector. Looks like the pic above. The work for built motors. My buddy just put one on his s&s 111 in place of his thunderheader and picked up 9 hp and 2 tq.
