The fact it needed the possibility of grinding is in one of the YouTube clips hence the 'offering up' of the fender tomorrow. I'll then grind off and make sure it fits prior to the fender heading off to the paint shop. I also need to think about drilling the 9mm hole for the rivnut to secure the seat perhaps? I notice you haven't bothered with the rivnut. How did you affix your seat at the rear?

I used the "L" brackets that came with the Danny Gray seat, under the front two fender bolts. I had them painted with the fenders and chin spoiler, to match the bike, so they aren't very noticeable.

Have you a picture of the painted and finished fender? Having spent the eye watering amount I did on a Thunderbike Fender I would be sending it back if the imperfections needed filler and a great deal of time to sort out, I think it looks beautiful now in bare steel. I am leaving it to the professionals once I have offered it up to the bike to make sure it fits. It will then go for priming, painting the 3D hydrographic carbon to be applied then lacquering. I am sure mine too will then be classed as 'beautiful' in my eye. Below is a few examples of the paint shops work.
hey everyone, Im not sure if this has been covered before, but I am planning on lowering my 17' breakout 2" using the progressive 422 shocks. I also want to do the progressive springs in the front. My question is if I lower the bike 2" with the rear shocks, can i keep stock height up front and not have a weird stance or do i need to lower the front of the bike also?
I have the SAS system on my bike, simple installation and no need for a extra compressor or tubing.

I like the idea of cross stitch leather but close up pictures of the seat are hard to come by with the Thunderbike Fender. I have found a picture on-line (below) and your seat looks great too but different from below with the seam between the cross stitch and side panel dropping instead of going all the way round. Could I please impose and ask you to take a couple of closer pictures of the seat and post them up or send them to me please?

Another tip that I want to give you, when you mount the blinkers and tail light you must tighten the allen bolts very slightly and put some blue loctite on them.
I had a problem with mine, after the winter storage from warm to both the blinkers and taillight was cracked. This did not happen by tightening the bolts too
hard but by the difference in temperature.
I had cleaned the bike in the garage of + 22 °c and everything was still okay, outside it was barely 5 to 6 °c and after my short ride they were cracked. I then
contacted Thunderbike and explained the problem and sent some photos. Tey responded immediately and gave me a new set for free, that is good service.
Shotgun Shock finally arrived in the UK Saturday morning at 11am. Cracked on and got it fitted and hooked up electrically, took me perhaps longer than it should, last tool was wiped down and laid away at 9pm. The lift was limiting with regards to access and needed to use my partner to steady the bike and quite a bit of ingenuity to get the job done. Suffice to say I was extremely relieved when it came off the lift for the last time. Shock is a great bit of kit. Am just awaiting fender return from paint and custom seat being made. Thanks for the hints and pictures RockerB and MoneyFor, your seat is being replicated over here but with red cross stitching. Thunderbike wanted an eye watering 700 Euros for the seat, I bought the base and can have top quality hide, gel inserts and memory foam for half the price of Thunderbike's.
