To each his own... Love the black on black on black on black.... It's all good.
Haha I hear ya man. That seems to be the "in" thing these last few years. I remember seeing bikes 5-10 years ago that had some much chrome, you couldn't tell what was what, and many people considered that to be super cool and hip. The same thing is happening now, except with black. I like a good mix of black and chrome personally. It's classic and timeless to me.

Totally agree. I didn't hate the thing honestly. I just wanted more black... Does that totally counteract my previous statement

Dude that looks SICK!!! Great work! Keep the pics coming. Almost ridin time here in CT. Love the black. Agree. It's today's chrome.
1) where'd you pick up the headlight and how much?
2) how much of a bitch was the de-badging? Glue?
Thanks!

Thanks man! I've wanted a Breakout for several years now, and have been planning out what I've wanted to do before I even owned one. It's crazy to think it was bone stock 6 weeks ago and where it is now! I'm not a super radical when it comes to blacking everything out, but definitely like black with chrome accents in the right places!
1) Headwinds Aurora 5.75" headlight housing purchased direct from their website; around $195 shipped I believe
2) Used a fishing line with WD40 and basically sawed through the adhesive. It leaves behind a good portion of adhesive, but I have a 3M Adhesive Eraser Wheel which takes it off easily and doesn't damage the clear coat or paint.

Bone stock to that in 6 weeks? Amazing. Every bike is a blank canvas. It's the only time I "get" art. Fun to make these our own. I'm de-badging, custom seat next week and that'll do it for this LONG winter. Post pics when I get.l outside. Thanks for the light info, too. Maybe this summer?
Ok fellas, I'm having my first "issue" with my Breakout. I've noticed several times that when I start the bike, the LO RNG will be on the display. It seems to correct itself after riding, but why is it doing that on startup? For example, I filled my tank up, rode home, and then when I started it today, the display automatically defaulted to the odometer, and when I cycled through the display, it read LO RNG. I normally leave it on the Gear/RPM display, and I've noticed that occasionally when I start the bike, it will default to the odometer. Why is it doing this?
For starters, what does LO RNG stand for? I have'nt seen it on mine yet but will be good info to know.
LO RNG is the idiot light to fuel up... My new speedo has a gas gauge....
Best of luck figuring this snafu out. I'd check w the connection from the harness to the speedo. Blow it out, clean it (since.it is exposed to the elements). Throw some dielectric grease on her and have a go. #cheapfix

Mine does the same exact thing. Never thought of it as a problem. As soon as I start riding it goes to miles to empty. I scroll to the gear/tach and go.
