Just looking through the Screamin Eagle Accessories for a 2014 Breakout and I noticed they have no listing for cams for the Breakout.
I was interested in installing a SE 204 set of cams in my bike to bet some bottom end torque and a loppy sound. Any of you guys done this
and are you happy with the results? Thanks.......

The SE204 has a nice lope, and can put up good numbers especially with head work, but with a intake close at 34 it's more of a mid-range cam. If you want more bottom end torque, look at Andrews 48 (intake close 29) or S&S 583 which has a intake close at 18. I have the 583 in my Rocker and it pulls hard from 1500 rpm! Both are bolt in, and also have a similar lope to the SE204.
If you really want more low end torque, then the 30/70 trans sprocket/rear pulley swap is by far the "best bang for your buck" mod you can do. You can get a 13% torque increase for less $$ then a cam swap, and the improvement is going to be far more noticeable. Link... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...p-to-13-a.html
BUT....doing both is even better!!

Did this one years ago and can't recommend it highly enough. An increase in low end torque, however, isn't what you'll get. The 204 spreads the torque throughout the range better and the big difference is noticed at the high end above around 2800 RPM. With OEM cams I had crazy low end grunt and a 6th gear that was useless, (2014 FXSB). Now I still have ample low end and 6th pulls just like 5th. For a cruiser, this is just what you want IMHO. "Great lope at idle". If you're looking for drop in cams to improve low end grunt, I hear the 255's are good. Why do you want this in a BO though ? Enhanced low end in an Ultra I can see but a BO ? I like cruising with the pack in 4th or so and then hit it above 2800 RPM in 4th through 6th and just eff right off. The "low end" guys seem to like that chug-a-lug they can produce by lugging their engines. They can have it.

When I said lower end I was thinking at cruising speeds in the 2000-4000 RPM area. I am old enough that I just putt along now and I don't
need to have the fastest Harley around. Also, love the sound of the idle lope in the SE 204's.
