Nice scoot! Did you by as is, or did you add the rims and reduced reach bar?
Yes, I bought it as is. The owner was the same height as me so the dealer made it for him to fit . So perfect fit for me as well. Got it with all original parts. Rims were fitted by the dealer before the delivery ,got with the bike the set of black turbine wheels as well (those never been on the road). Was having the dilema for the past 12 months which set to keep. Haven't ridden the bike much, will catch up this year. Sounds unbelievable, the bike will go for the first big service (changed the engine oil only after I bought it) just shortly before the third birthday.
The mileage (1600km/1000miles) at the end of October.
Not planning to do any changes to the bike except changing the grips and shifter/brake pedal/footpegs, different licence plate holder (had an eye on KIJIMA plate holder from Japan, it's shorter than OEM and exposes more the rear tyre), fork springs upgrage, considering Progressive Suspension rear shock with RAP for easier preload adjustment and at some point in the future pulleys upgrade. Thats all. There are loads of heavily modified Breakouts and I'd like to keep that classic look on mine.
Those who wonder why I didnt go for a new model, there were a few reasons. I didnt like the speedo, small tank and battery burried under the rear shock (that was a really bright idea). Regarding the engine, yes it would be nice to have the new 114 but after reading a bit about Harley's history of engines (and M8 has got issues as well, only time will tell if thats all or something else appears), their issues and how long it always took Harley Davidson to sort it, I decided it'll be better to stay with tried and tested engine which was powering their bikes for the past 17 years. Some might disagree with me, I might be wrong but that's how I see it now.
I figured the the breakout needed a bad *** motor to match its bad *** lines. 208 hp 169 tq 107" blower motor, with a Procharger supercharger. Some like chrome I prefer a Harley that can blast the doors off pretty much anything. Ridden daily,and have ridden on long rides. 41 years later and and I still love the FX's. This is my dream drag type bike with 208 hp and 169 tq blower motor, race transmission, and chain drive. Who needs a pace maker ???? 208 Hp 169TQ 2017 Breakout main drive belt

Is anyone running a 21 x closer to 2" wheel on the front of their Breakout? Like a 2.15" or 2.25"? If so, I'd be curious to see pictures and what tire size you are running. Thanks!
