A little lower back support is what has me interested in a step-up seat.
The lower back support is exactly what it will give. In my club we may ride 200 plus miles on a ride and after a couple of bad bumps and after 150 miles my lower back would be starting to ache with the stock seat. As soon as I got the saddlemen even before break in I noticed a difference and when riding the same miles as above it was night and day because of the support of the seat keeping me in the saddle and the gel seams more firm but when you hit road anomalies it soaks it up so you don't get the shock and the step up as said before keeps you in the saddle with back support. I don't know how bad your back is and if it may help as much as it did with me but I haven't had anymore back issues since I got the seat plus on top of it I got Progressives 12.2 rear mono shock with 1" lowered drop in the rear and with dampening/ rebound control even lower to the ground it is way better then stock suspension again when I hit bumps and road anomalies due to the settings of the shock controlling the rate the shock returns to extension I don't get jack knifed up the back and it stays controlled planted to the ground under the fender and doesn't hop and due to the variable rate spring it doesn't bottom out as where the stock did on big bumps and I have went and looked for the worst areas I have suffered before and tested it and my back was smiling . The bike is a dream to ride handling wise and I can do 200 to 400 mile rides no problem now and the seat just got better after 500 miles breaking it in. The seat alone was like getting a new shock before I got the shock. I recommend both but the seat alone will make a big difference.

Here is another shot of it. The pictures does it no justice. I was worried it wouldn't look good on my bike but it looks real good along with my 260 rear tire and 1" drop and when my stocky black *** is on it the fender is down to the turbine wheel line almost so it rides low and I still have optimum suspension for the ruff road

I bet those Rinehart cans sound nice too. Is that a full system, or slip-ons? My brother had a Rinehart full system on his old Street Glide and it was like riding in thunder lol. I bought my '14 Breakout last year, and the previous owner put V&H Big Radius pipes on. I like the way they look, but it's just not as deep of a tone as I'd like.

It sounds sick especially with the shorter exhaust over the street glide because I have two people I ride with with rinehart on touring bikes and I bark way louder . No its not full exhaust system. I cant stand the tone and farting sound of a 2:1 and people I ride with say mine sounds better then others with D&D . It is Thunder with a bad *** tone that barks along with the thunder with my 128 build. Even with stock headers and the slip ons which is where the cats are on stock slip ons I it is catless free flowing and enough with my numbers I yielded after the last work done via a torque cam build 150/130 and with the early torque wall flat to 5K I havent lost a race yet so the stock header is working. Another shot of her here at work road in today. I may have left a couple of lbs of torque and hp on the table not getting a full 2:1 system but I am well fast enough and its not enough for losing the sound to me and I didnt get an aftermarket header because I really couldnt find on sold alone for dual exhaust.. Your forced to buy complete 2:1 for softails.

Fuel question: I have a 2014 BO and am replacing the fuel tank with a Ghost Rider Customs 5 gal. The weld in plate on the new tank for the pump, etc fits the 2018 BO. Is the ‘18 pump compatible with the ‘14 electrical (ECM) and related parts? Thanks.

I’m new here to the site but after reading a few reviews I’m going to try the Danny Gray buttcrack solo seat and see how it works for my frame I’m tall 6’2” 192 lbs with long legs and looking to be back a little more with a little lower look as well. Hope it works I might try also doing a forward controls extension too. Arlen Ness 3” I don’t know if the forward controls will be necessary with the buttcrack seat, will see.

Those wheels are sick. Did you put them on, or did you buy the bike used with them already on it?

There stock to my knowledge, I bought bike with 633 miles on it and a lot of aftermarket market parts as you can see. It’s a 2017

I love the bike it’s so awesome I’m truly lucky and happy to own it.

I wonder if H-D changed the wheels at some point. I have a 2014 and my wheels are different. I know that wheels like the ones you have came on the M8 models starting in 2018

The Danny Gray seat is a great choice. I would say that the upgrade to gel is well worth it. It's a pretty thin seat so the gel makes a difference especially if you do long rides.
