Honestly something must be wrong with this garbage. I'm trying to mount the new tombstone housing with the plate relocation bracket and when I go to mount the tombstone housing the 3 bolt holes don't line up, they're close but not close enough to get them started. Am I doing something wrong? This should be simple
Had the same problem when I installed mine last week. Loosen the bolts that hold the light bar in place, push them as far away from tail light as they'll go, then re-tighten. This should give you enough room to get the hikes lined up. Worked for me.
you know u east guys are so quick to blame someone else for your shortcomings, right off the batt you say pissed off with softbrake, without trying to make an aftermarket product work on your bike or do a little research to help your situaton, and to make it worse you call their product garbage , Ive dealt with Softbrake several times , they are a great company with great products and excellent customer service. Obviously you didnt contact them to help with your install , if you cant handle ordering and wrenching on youre Harley with aftermarket products then maybe you shouldnt own one buy a Jap bike

East Guys ???? Since when do we ALL blame someone else? I bet if you did a search you would see you West Guys doing your fair share...
Also, maybe if a company was aware of any installation issues and/or adjustments then they should provide that info with the product..

East coast guys? Right that must be it. First of all I tried numerous measures to make the product fit so before you assume and make an *** out of yourself and the "west coast guys" why don't you be informative and give advice rather then bashing. The product clearly according to other members has issues and soft brake should address those issues. Thanks for your .02 cents, members like you clearly have no place even being on a forum

I had the same problem. Also had an issue with the gasket, can't remember if I ended up using the original one or the new one, but either way I had to trim some of it away.
Anyway, I ended up getting frustrated and just forced the bolts in. One is stripped now, but I'll cross that road if I ever need to take it off again.
I ordered from them last week. I called them to find out exactly what I all needed to order and the gentleman I talked to told me the exact part numbers I needed and said if you order it online now I will get it shipped out today and you will get it within 2-3 days, he also added that shipping would be $7.00 to me. I said great! Hung up and ordered the parts- I got an email 2 days later that my order was processed and ready to ship. I got them 2 days later after that and the shipping was $15 instead of $7. I emailed them back and asked why it was $15 instead of the $7 that I was quoted and I was told that it was because the gentleman quoted price for 1 part not the 2 parts. Really cuz he gave me the 2 part numbers I needed. I was not happy either about it. I have not had a chance to install in yet but not looking forward to having problems with it.
I am not happy with the fit of my plate relocation bracket on my '13 RGU. Not like the bracket that I got on my '09 FLHTCU. They were no help. They were not interested in helping me out (I have the email thread).
I was happy with the foot brake I got from them on my '07 FLHTCUI. But the one for the '09 was a lot more expensive, did not buy it.
