I was looking into lowering the front end of my blackline with a progressive drop in kit.but when I called them they told me they don't make a kit for the blackline. When I was on the phone I feel like they could not be bothered helping.Any ideas on what I can do to lower my bike ?

I am on the same boat here.. I was able to lower it a bit by loosening the grip on the triple trees then moving the forks upward about 1 1/2 inches.. the bike runs the same... but the front suspension on the Blackline sucks anyway... I doubt Progressive is going to ever produce a lowering kit for the Blackline.. I was amazed that the Blackline actually has forks that are any different from other Softails of the same year.. another option is to buy used forks that are a bit shorter... so many things on the Blackline are awkward .. rear tire, handlebars, and the motor / covers paint schemes are weird.. I bought mine because they dealer game me a $ 2.000 discount on it... wohoo
I love my blackline except the bars. I know that progressive makes a standard hight front spring for the black line. So i took that part # to find out what other bikes use the same spring. One of them being the softail standard. So i looked up a softil standard and come up a drop-in kit. Im not totally sure that my idea works but its worth looking into a bit more.
Unfortunately I am almost certain the Blackline front end forks are unique to the Blackline.. if you go to this website that lists detailed part information for HD.. and you browse different HD models with 41mm forks ... you will notice that the Blackline has a different part number for the entire fork assembly.. and the internal fork components also have different part numbers.. it sucks... what I guess HD had valid technical reasons to go with a different fork assembly for the Blackline.. did I mention that it sucks??.. hahaa
here is parts site:
Click on the "Parts and accessories catalog" then choose the "Parts Finder" submenu, then click on the "Motorcycle" link below the HD logo
I lowered my 2003 Fatboy front end by shortening the fork tubes. sent them to Forks by Frank and they cut the tubes down 1" and rethreaded for the plug. Cost about $75.00 total which included shipping both ways and $40.00 for the shortening. This way you don't loose fork travel which is at a premium on softail forks.
