Default Recommended Rocker Tires

I have searched and have a headache from reading all the posts but it seems the most I read are about wider & taller.

Is there a recommended replacement to the stock tires @ the stock size (or slightly wider in front if it handles better)

Thanks in advance!

I run dunlops because they work great wet or dry and are much more reasonably priced than Metzler. Metzler used to be made in germany, now brazil. You can squeese a 260 on, but need to take off part of the belt guard for it to fit, no big deal. Dunlop makes a nice e3 250 that I have been running. A little easier to install and a good deal at dennis k..
WHATEVER YOU DO, STAY AWAY FROM VEERUBBER!!!!! I TRIED ONE FOR THE PRICE AND IT DELAMINATED (6X12 INCH PIECE...VERY DANGEROUS...) HALF WAY THRU THE TREAD LIFE. WHEN WE PULLED THE TIRE OFF, BESIDES THE DELAMINATED SECTION, WE FOUND VOIDS IN THE RUBBER IN OTHER PLACES AND RANDOM PIECES OF CORD COMING THRU IN OTHERS...FORGET THEM...

If you're running the Dunlop e3 250 or the Avon Cobra 240 are you guys putting a matching model to the front or mix and matching?

The factory tires don't really match anyway (rear is a radial and front is a bias ply), so I don't worry about it.

Right now, I have a Pirelli Sport Demon 100/90/19 on the front. Wanted to go a little larger than the original, and the tire had great reviews. Fits fine with stock rim and fender.

Still using the stock 240 Dunlop on the rear, because a dealer near me will do "any Dunlop, installed" for $168. Ends up being about $200 out the door. Ends being a darned good deal for an expensive tire like the Rocker rear.

Mixing tire brands, You know I have done both with quality tires and did not notice ANYTHING out of the ordinary, wet or dry. I would not worry about it.

I put a Metzeler 260 on my 2010. No mods required. Also put a Metzeler up front. It was a little taller than the OEM but filled the space between the tire and fender very nice. Like 1/2 inch. No issues with either tire...
