Default Swingarm Bag Mounting Kit

Performed a search and didn't find anything referring to this. I did see the posts on the support bracket one member made.

Just purchased a new Slim and I'm planning on installing a swing arm bag. Does anybody have any experience with the Dead Creek Cycles Bobber Bracket. Looking to have a clean install without leaving scratches on my swing arm.

https://www.deadcreekcycles.com/Dead...ls_p_1099.html

Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!

Unless you nick your swingarm while installing it's a clean install, very easy, and reversible.

DK Customs sells one also. No experience with that item but their customer service is above and beyond.

I just ordered that very one last week and received it only yesterday.
I haven't even had a chance to install it.
The reviews I've read on it were a deciding factor for me, and from the looks of the provided parts I won't be disappointed.
The quality of the parts is top-notch.
The mounting system just replaces three belt-guard bolts, two high, one low.
And of course it allows you to mount your bag in a fairly wide area of adjustment, both height-wise an side-to-side.

An added bonus is the ease in which you can remove it for washing the bike.
Just remove the three chrome acorn nuts inside the bag, a lot easier and cleaner than messing with those hard-to-work, chunky strap clamps...

I really like the idea of the kit containing not one but two plates, one for outside, one for inside.
It ought to be far more stable than those cheap leather straps that came with my H-D solo bag, and I can stop worrying about scuffing up the swingarm.

There's a post on here with all the instructions.
I made my own for $5.
3-5/16"x1" bolts stainless.
3-5/16"x1/2" bolts stainless
9-5/16" nuts stainless.
9-1 1/2" fender washers
3-5/16" threaded couplers
14"x12" aluminum plate (I had some 3/16" stainless diamond plate, my price indicates difference)

I found this, look half way down the page.

MAKE YOUR OWN.......I made mine also, simple, but I used plexiglass and put it inside the bag seemed firmer. You can get all parts from Lowes or Home Depot. I also used wing nuts on inside for no tool take off> One thing to watch when you are putting in the bolt on the top rear don't go to far in or you may hit your belt sprocket, don't ask me how I know. OUCH
