I still can't believe they have been charging customer'a cards months before shipping them their product. That is ludicrous and no excuse will ever justify that.
I agree you should not be charged until they ship. I would dispute the charge if you cancel the order . No way they should charge you if they are not shipping
Samson's last post in this thread was post #39, on April 18th. And of course, they didn't address any of the folks who have made complaints.
It's what I've come to expect at this point from them. I feel for you guys that are waiting, and waiting, and waiting. All this time being charged for a product that you have no idea when to expect, and then waiting almost half a year?!
Shoddy excuses, poor customer service, and abysmal waiting times are going to run this company into the ground. It's a shame - I really like their long tails with true duals.
Funny thing is, Samson seems to be the only exhaust company that can't get it figured out. Every other company seems to have it figured out.
I just don't understand you'all are hung on Samson!! I wish I had a company where people gave me money and all I had to do was tell them to wait.

I have compared the rear pipe of Freedom Performance and the rear pipe of Samson. Freedom's hugs the primary so much better than the Samson's. They both sound the same. So what is the deal with you guys and Samson?? Is it a case of simply wanting what you can not have?

Samson's true dual fishtails come in a bunch of different lengths, the quality is great, the sound is amazing, and not all of us are still waiting on our true duals. I got my baffled 36 inch fishtail with removal tips months ago.

Cause some of us just don't want to settle for something just because it's available.
The 2 sets of samson pipes I've had have been great. Nothing like them.
Should have my bike completed this weekend, or early next week, WITH samson 36's
I can celled my order earlier this week. I don't like that they kept telling me maybe tomorrow etc for the truck to come in. I only waited 5 weeks compared to others. But I also didn't like they charged my card and now I'm going to wait weeks for my refund. I still want a set of 36" Fishtail but I'll wait I suppose. I just hope they get stuff sorted out. I may have to go with freedom performance.

Hard to think of the Freedom Performance pipes as 'settling' for something. They're available, they're made in the USA, and they offer a 32" or 36" length.
Stepped headers, full 220* heat shields, and removable tips/baffles.
Aside from not offering the 39/42" long tails, they offer a pretty good alternative.
Oh, and they're a little less expensive.
Really going to be considering these. If Samson magically got its act together, I still don't know that I'd purchase from them.

I don't understand having to wait weeks for a refund (and you shouldn't have to dispute the charge with your CC company. Samson should just issue your refund). They should be able to post the refund within 24 hrs and you should see it on you card within 72 hrs after Samson posts it. If it is taking weeks it is because Samson taking weeks to issue the refund. Business practices here seem unscrupulous at best. These issues alone have me convinced to never buy Samson. I don't care what the quality is/was from Samson. Nothing is worth these terrible business practices and treatment of customers. Just because they were good in the past doesn't mean that they should be able to ride that goodwill forever. Companies need to stay on top of their game or they will die. Competition will always innovate. There are other options from companies who do business the right way.

It's whatever floats your boat, if you wanna wait on Samson's, wait. If you wanna run freedoms, run freedoms.
For me, I wanted Samson's, even if I had to wait. Didn't want to second guess myself down the road.
