Default Turn signal lens bubbling

So I noticed this last week but thought it's probably just moisture trapped in there. Yesterday on a ride another rider pulled up and told me my right rear running light was out, so when I got home I pulled the lens to change the bulb. When I did, I saw that the inside of the lens itself is bubbling from heat. The left one is starting to do it too, just not as bad as this one yet. What the hell, a brand new bike shouldn't be doing this, anyone else seen this? I'm going to take it by the stealership after work and have them change out the lenses and check it out.

I'm wondering if maybe the sockets aren't seated as far in as they should be?
Definitely from heat...

Did you have something covering it recently? Like a jacket or gear of some sort? Years ago I saw a tail light melt on a camping trip cause the gear was covering it for the trip.

Switch to LED. One of the best things I ever did. They are super bright and let you be seen when you are stopping.

That's a "feature"...LOL. My factory ones leaked water like crazy..burnt out...this must be to keep them dried up?...I had 2 sets of factory ones go bad at 500 bucks a set????...1000 dollars for 4 badly designed single led lights...
If I had to pay for the repair, I would only go after market. 1 single led and not waterproof is nuts...

I do have plans to go led, but I'm leaning towards a single under the fender strip to totally replace the side lights. I'm waiting till my powder coating oven is finished so when I take it all off I just do it once - get the fender braces pc'd and remove the side lights in one fell swoop. I still think it's bs that the stock lenses are doing that already though. And no, I haven't had anything covering them. I do wonder if there is some kind of voltage issue because the running light filament on that side burned out already.

If you go led, make sure the strip is bright!!! A buddy of mine put 2 strips on the back of his and they are great at night but useless during the day in the sun...get totally washed out...dangerous...
I also read on here that as you indicated, it is better to keep the wires the same size if extending and the bulb watts used the same or it can get picked up by the security system as a fault. I kept the same wire and bulb watts and have not had a problem.
