Default Cable Length, 16" Wild 1 Chubby on Blackline

Wondering if anyone has done this combination or similar to get an understanding of cable lengths.

Configuration is...
2011 Blackline
Todd Cycles Top Triple Tree
1.5" Riser
Wild 1 Chubby 16" Apes

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. I tried measuring the lengths with the bars on the bike and ended up way off of any lengths that make sense.

I'm looking at purchasing from Magnum Shielding and I purchased the wires from Namz, the new bar is already wired back up.

Mine were +4" over. Same set up as you, but on a 2011 Heritage. Since you probably have a flatter bar, I'd guess 10-12" over...

Thanks hdgzr for the feedback!

Anyone else have any additional thoughts on this?

Why not measure them on the bike? Doesn't get more exact then that.

I tried that and must be measuring from the wrong points because i came up with something like +20" which is way off...

I think i'm just going to hold the old handlebar assembly up to the new one and measure the distance between the control locations and use that as an extension length over stock.

I would go 71" on the clutch, 51" on the brake, and 41" on the throttle and idle.

I just put 14's on my 2004 electra glide and measured them out at plus 6, but being a person who second guesses everything, I called Wild 1 and they said use plus 8's. They have a knowledgeable staff. They are in California so allow for the time zones. Anyway I could have probably used plus 10 on the clutch cable but it worked. I also used the magnum black pearl cables.

I had 16" Wild1 Chubbys with 1.5" risers on my Deluxe. Had +10 on everything.

So I called Wild 1 and they said for the Blackline with the unique top tree, the measurements can vary quite a bit, but they figured with a rough estimate of +10 accross the board on all cables and lines. I'm just going to check how close that comes out to the distance between the stock controls location compared to the new controls location by holding the stock top tree and bars assembly up next to the Wild 1 bars mounted in on the bike.

Here is the stock lengths, and their +10" counterparts according to magnum sheilding.

Clutch (58 11/16") (68 11/16")
Throttle (26 1/2") (36 5/8")
Idle (26 1/2") (36 5/8")
Brake Line (40") (50")

I think these will be a little short, but if that is what they recommend?
