I had Boss Bags on my Deluxe. Really liked them, quick disconnect that looked good with the bags off (makes it easy to carry your stuff inside while on the road). Have locks to lock the bags and they are big.
They are expensive, but they stand behind the bags and they hold up very well.
The Springer bag have a good amount of room. And you can get a used set cheap. I have them for my FXST. With my V&H Drag pipes they where real close to the pipe.

I have the removable bags from HD. They fit great look good lots of room and remove in seconds with hardly a trace that they were there. As long as the stock exhaust is replaced with an aftermarket these will work.
I would also suggest checking the Road King Classic bags. In my opinion, they fit the deluxe very well, especially with the stock seat. I am doing this for my deluxe right now.

Have to mention though, that the RKC bags ARE NOT of the easy/quick detach kind. The support bracket (cycle visions in my case) is hard mounted to the bike.
