Default Cranking issues.

I know this has probably been ask a hundred times and I did search but couldn't quite find what I'm looking for.I have a 97 Heritage Softail with a little over 14,000 miles on it.This morning I cranked it up with the choke out and was going to let it idle a few minutes before leaving. It idle a minute or so and died and now won't start. It is turning over good but on't even attempt to start now, choke on or off, doesn't matter.I have it on battery tender now, tried it jump it, nothing seems to work.IT has a full tank of fuel, any suggestions?

Have you ever replaced the fuel filter?
Trash in the carbs maybe?

check to see if fuel getting to the carb( fuel line or petcock plugged),also may want to pull air filter make sure the choke is opening and closing properly , make sure your getting spark to the plugs too. if fuel to the carb and spark probably is a carburetor issue

Thanks for the replies guys.I managed to get it started.I checked the spark and it was good and was getting fuel.My battery had started getting weak so I hook jumper cables to it, took the air filter off and gave it a shot of ether. She started up and has been fine ever since.Still don't know what the problem was but she is running now and that's all that matters!!

Sounds like it may have been flooded.[easy on the ether!good way to ruin an engine] Replace the plugs if it happens again.
