I spent a fair amount of time on the forum looking for a slick way to mount a GPS to my deluxe for long trips. Saw a bunch of bar mounted options and really wasn't a big fan of any of them. Finally I came across a ball mount that replaces one of the nuts on the inside of my quick detach shield. I don't plan on using the GPS without the shield so this was the perfect option for me. Ball uses the garmin nuvi cradle, similar to a car setup. Power comes from a battery tender USB adapter under the seat. Took it out for a 100 mile test ride today on back roads and highway and was very happy with the result. Could maybe use a little hood/visor to help with viewing in bright sunlight but otherwise it's perfect.
