I've done some searching and want to know if I've read this correctly.
If I want to use Deluxe wheels on my Fatboy I have to find some made earlier than '07 when the went to the bigger bearings, is this correct? Would the same hold true for the Heritage? I basically want to take off the solid wheels and use a chrome spoked wheel with a whitewall tire. Trying to find local wheels on Craigslist as opposed to buying new.
I can't answer your question but for me, tires would be the LAST thing I ever bought used and put on my bike. It's just to dangerous Dude, IMHO! I don't care what a person tells you when selling or buying used tires, you have NO idea what they have been through and exposed too. He can say they came off of Jesus's Deluxe with 2 miles on them, no thanks.

Tony,
You made me laugh, Dude. I believe the OP is looking for used wheels (rims) not used rubber. He can correct me if i am wrong.
Now, on the other hand, I agree with you. I would never buy used tires.
2000-2006 wheels will work assuming they came off a Deluxe, Heritage, Fatboy or other FL model softail. Pre 2000 will not work as they have a different type of wheel bearing in them.
I converted a 25mm to 3/4 bearings for my '01 FXSTI. I had to make new spacers. I'm on my phone. So I can't dig up my thread. I think you can click on my user name and find my threads. I only on one or two.
I think it would be easier to swap 25mm wheel to 3/4" from a FL to a FL. Not only did I swap the the newer wheel, I converted my FX to a 16" wheel.
Off the top of my head, here what I think needs to happen. Install the a 3/4" bearing on the caliper side. Shave down the inner spacer by 3mm. Install the inner spacer and the other bearing. Now, your outer spacers are too long. Shave caliper side spacer down by 6mm and the right spacer down by 3mm.
