my 2003 softail is making a clunking noise shifting into first gear and im hearing a whining noise coming from the left side of the boke,and i cant shift into netural while the bike is running,anybody know the problem?

 

all harleys clunk my man haha.. if you can not get it into neutral.. try rocking the bike as you look for it. works for me. if doesnt work just check your clutch adjustment. if it doesnt work from there or this is a more serious issue try and give more of a diag. a lot of bikes whine....... has this always happened? maybe just didnt realize it

 

sounds like you need more clutch.. p.s. and check your primary fluid.

 

it nver did this before and its a loud clunking and whinning def,some bad,i heard that they leftout something on this model that causes this but cant find out what it is?

 

The neutral and clunking is somewhat normal, but the other part sounds like you need a visit to the dealer..
