Mine goes from the lever, inside (aft) the bars, to the neck, and down the frame tube.
You have yours on the outside (forward) of the bars, then to frame tube.
My clutch cable hasn't been moved since OEM install.......

the best cable install is a straight line ..no bends. (impossible)
so the next best install is to have the least bend/bends in the cable as you can .
two big radius bends are better than one tight radius..
