Need Help!!! red key light on dash

I usually just browse thru the post to get ideas, but now I would like to see if someone has had a similar issue or knows what might be going in with my lux. It's an 08 Deluxe I bought it used with 1 miles back in 2011 when I recently took it out for a ride after about a 1/2 he the red key light came on I then noticed my turn signals stopped working and when I turned the bike off it would start back up the light stayed on I don't have factory alarm I've never had a fob and bike just started doing this

The light means your bike threw a code. You should check for them, but try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to clear any codes:

happened on my bike when the fat rear tire wiped out the directional wires. and they either shorted together or to the fender/ground. Once I isolated the bare wires, I fixed the insulation, and rerouted them to avoid any issue in the future. On my bike (2002 FB), it has a 140 rear, and is very tight on the left side of the fender...

Mtiberio I do have Shotgun Shock I'll check up under rear fender to see if any wires are exposed

I had a loose battery connection cause the red key to illuminate.

My wife's heritage has been having similar problems. The red light will go on (she does have security) then the headlight & nacelle lights will go out, the turn signals won't work or self-cancel, or, yes I said OR, the radio will stop working for about 2-10 minutes. I was leaning towards the BCM since it controls the electrics & it seemed so sporadic. Dealer says they replaced the voltage regulator and all fixed now. We'll see!!!
