I use a wheel chock and go around the rim with a strap that holds it in tight. Then I run ratchet straps around the lower tree to mounting rings that are angled forward and to each side. I only compress the forks about 50%. When I sit on the bike and push down & forward on the bars I like to see the forks compress about an inch without using a herculean effort. I then fasten a bungee's between the hooks on the ratchet so they cant shake loose in case I hit a pothole. I also use 2 straps on the back that pull to each side.
