Default EFI fuel smell

06 Fat Boy EFI. After a 60 mile ride parked in garage. Strong odor of raw fuel a short time later in garage. There was a quarter sized wet spot in front of rear tire. Found rubber hose in front of rear fender that is also wet (source of fuel). Any ideas as to cause?
Thanks

That is the vent to the gas tank.

Mine vented one time but it was a hot day. I pulled off interstate, fueled up then parked it to get a bite to eat. I noticed liquid coming from the hoser and realized i probebly overfilled gas tank.

My 2005 Fat Boy SE has the same strong fuel smell if I close the garage door as soon as I park it. Now I leave the door open for 15 minutes or so before closing it and the fuel smell is gone.
I ran my hands over everything and never found any leaks. Never any fuel drops on the floor.

Yes, seems like it might be the overflow tube. Seems odd it would leak after riding that many miles since the tank should certainly not be overfull at that point. I smell fuel only when I spill it all over the tank and seat when refueling!! Somebody know if there is a pressure relief device on the FIs besides the overflow? Consider the possibilty of a weeping weld on tank? Yikes..not ahappy thought John

My FLSTFI has the fuel odor when I park it in the garage too. Now I either shut it off and push it in or wait 10 minutes before closing the door. I wasn't sure if it was normal but now I guess it is.

I assume really filled the tank to the max.
Breather overflow....
Bet it was not doing that until you parked it, and it was leaning on the stand.
