brake pad spring clip

brake pad spring clip
went to change out front brake pads on 1995 flstn because of noise. when I dropped the caliper away the pad with the spring clip came out already unhooked. my problem is trying to figure out how that clip goes back onto the pad holder. I know once it's installed properly on the holder the pad should snap right in but no matter how I position it I have no luck. ideas anyone? thanks

finally just drove the 50 miles to the hd dealer. he had one in stock. watched his mechanic install the clip on the pad and holder. first time backwards then he got it. i have seen some mickey mouse fixes in my time but this one takes the cake. i wouldnt begin to try and describe the installation
