I went over at lunch at picked one up with my 25% off coupon.

Put it together and tested it out. It's a little freaky the first time you lift your bike that high!

My only complaint about it is...there are only two settings that you can use with the safety pin. about 10" high and about 30" high. Would be nice to have something in between. Other than that, it's pretty beefy and sturdy.

In the box, there were only tie down straps...no loop harnesses with it. Did you get some kind of loop harness?

I've not used the straps that came with mine. I have a nice set of ratchet straps and soft ties I use.

i know you don't like harbor freight, but I bought this one from harbor freight, Had one of their coupons and only paid $59. It works great. maybe it had to do with placement of the jack or it was defective, as far as lowering the jack its easy to control for me (especially since the bike is usually always ratchet strapped to the jack). I've never had any issues with mine and have used it a tons of times, and know many people who have used them hundreds of time with out any issues.

watch at 3:15, he's moving it all over the garage and its very stable (lowering is the only tricky part, but you get used to it)

I've looked at this as well and if it was on wheels so I could roll the bike around on it, I'd consider it.

That being said, if I needed a lift often I would consider this one.

No way in hell I'd want to move a bike around while on this lift...

It's unbelievable what some people will do - buy a $20K bike, put another $2-5K in accessories on it, then go out and buy a $59 jack and actually brag about what a bargain it was. Yeah, like I'd work under a 700# bike while it was on a $59 stand welded by some guy (or child) making $2 a day.

Rather than brag about it, you should be embarrassed to admit it. Save some of that beer money and buy a decent US made jack!

I've seen bikes fall off J&S and other high priced lifts. It's all in how you use them.

For what I need a jack for I'd be embarrassed to admit that I spent $450 when for $59 I could get a jack that does the job I need just as well.
