Default stranded...

got to work this morning and realized that my pants were speckled. never a good sign. looked up to the front of my 2014 breakout...blown fork seal. good news is that it's under warranty. bad news is that i'm not sure if they're able to come this far to pick it up. what a shitty way to start the day.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck. Depending on how far you are from a dealership will depend on if they will go get your bike. I live an hour away from my local dealer and their pick up fare for me is $40; their normal is $20.

New bike, you should have the HOG towing benefit. Call them.

You can ride on a blown fork seal. Hell, you can ride on no fork oil at all.

It's not the best, but it can definitely be done to get you where you can be picked up or the dealer.

X2. No big deal to ride the bike.

, I did it when I had my `09 Dyna and the fork oil leaked out completely. Just take it easy and avoid all potholes. You`ll make it okay.

just rode it to the dealership. i wasn't worried so much about the safety of the ride, more about the mess. i'm covered in oil and so is the bike. but, at least it's there now and i guess we'll see what they say.

is that a common thing on harleys though? seems crazy to have a blown fork seal after 5k miles. or was this just a freak incident?

I don't think it's common at all really. Have you hit a monster pot hole recently?
