Default New Brakes std on for 2015 Softails. ...except Slim

I was wondering if HD would come up with a brake upgrade for 2015 and of course they do except not std on the Slim. Not certain but it looks like the prices for 2015 are the same as 2014 but with better brakes std. But not the Slim, you have to pay another $800. What the rest of the Softails deserve to have better breaks at the previous year price but not the Slim. BS!

According to the HD site, the 2015 Slim comes with the upgraded brakes like all of the other Softail's. ABS is different.

Define "upgraded" please. Twin front rotors?

Rich, as per their website "A new front brake system on the Softail® models this year delivers a 40 percent reduction in the amount of lever force required at peak braking. The handlebar master and front cylinders have been restyled. There's a new 4-piston fixed caliper with 32 and 34 mm pistons, premium caliper piston coating to minimize initial displacement and a larger 300 mm rotor. It all adds up to more stopping power with less effort."

You could probably buy a lighter, better aftermarket setup for less money.

Thanks Blake. I haven't kept up with new happenings from the motor company. Been busy working on the one I have. I've only got 700 miles on mine and haven't noticed a need for upgraded brakes .... YET
