Default 2005-07 the red headed step child?

did Harley do some major changes for that model year only? did they "experiment" on softail frames those years, because there are not a lot of creative options, especially seats. it has me on the fence about buying a springer now, in favor of something newer.

05-06 basically the same, 07 whole new animal, different motor, frame, trans, primary .....etc.

Isn't it kind of strange, though?

its bizarre..when you have parts that fit from 84-99, 15 year span, then you have 05-06, then 07, with many one year only parts, and were talking about seats...thats strange.

I used to think that when I was looking for seats. Not all the fitment specs are correct. My sundowner came off an 02 FB. My CC solo fits several years. For some reason, the fitment listings are inaccurate. Basic rule though, the 07's with 200mm will not fit prior years. Deluxes are different then FB and Heritage. It can be confusing.

Generally, I have found most listings include '00-'05. It does seem some speedos are specific to '00-'03. '04-'05 are different in that regard.
