Default Breakout Dipstick Roast!

I have commented on my 2014 Breakout before, as being a lot cooler from the factory than my previous 2008 Night Train. Well, today I took a short ride on the back roads, came home and did the usual. I take the dipstick out to check oil and look around, yea I know, I am OCD.

Well as I was doing this, I just about dropped it. That dipstick head (no pun intended) must have been extremely hot as it burnt the crap out of me. I don't think I have ever noticed it getting that hot before?

Any ideas? I know I need a tuner, exhaust, etc. and they run a bit lean from the factory, but that was unreal. Anyone else experienced this and do you feel it is normal?

Even a stock Harley off the showroom floor can benefit from a custom tune. Yes, they are Lean from the factory. Even so, the dipstick is going to be in the 200 plus degrees F range after a ride. In my opinion, engine heat is our Number 1 enemy. I'm always looking for new ways to shave off a few degrees.

I check my oil every few fill ups.If its been running more than a few minutes I always keep my glove on to open it..Its like turning on your oven to 210-220f and then grabbing the oven rack. Its fuking hot...

Same here on my Slim even with running the Power Vision. Nothing to worry about.

Good to hear, well, and bad at the same time lol.

Not good to hear that a PV makes no difference. I figured it would.

Running a PV and tuning the engine better is going to decrease the oil temp maybe 10-20 degrees. If that means going from 230 down to 210, that's a good difference for the motor, but 210 is still hot to touch.
