just got my current bike and i have no where to put anything. so i have been using a back pack for the last 2 days. are there any storage solutions that would allow me to take a few things with me and be secure. i am not sure if a swing arm bag is big enough.
On a Slim I use a swing arm bag and I just added a single windshield bag as well.
More than enough for simple tools, a water bottle, phone, wallet, glasses, papers, etc...
I think that travel bag or saddlebags would be to options to look into. I suppose it depends on what you're going for. Once i rotate back to the states, i plan on riding a Slim...i'm going to be in the same boat. I'm hoping to find a saddle option that locks and compliment the looks of the bike.
Sissy bar with luggage rack if you don't want to do saddlebags would probably be your best bet. The sissy bar and luggage rack, along with some cargo nets, can carry a lot more than you might think. I have that along with saddlebags and probably use the sissy bar and luggage rack the most. I have a small duffle I take to work everyday and I just throw it on the luggage rack, throw a cargo net over it, and I'm off.

When I return to the states I plan to get a slim as well. Moving away from my RK. I am sure I will miss the sadle bags. But too me putting saddle bags on a slim distracts hard from the cool minimalist look. Anyway Motherwell sells a luggage rack that looks cool too mee for every day use. And leather pros sells nice bags that does not require moving the tail lights and L plate. I guess I will use them for extra long trips. There is a black slim on here that those bags look good on. But better when off Some of the solo swing arm bags are diff sizes too. Dead creek offers a mounting plate too for their solo bag of course you can just strap on the bag or make your own plate. They also have a water proof liner and a slit for your reg. The day I get home from this crap hole I will go to the dealer! Good luck

TripleB-
Totally hear you on that one. I agree adding saddle bags takes away from the minimalistic nature of the Slim. Im planning on using her as a primary mode of transportation in the ridding months, so practicality will play a large role in how i have to setup the bike. Right now, I'm commuting with a large 5.11 backpack…it feels like a surfboard. Anyway to shake the backpack thing would be appreciated!
