Default fat boy bars on heritage?

Sometimes my back hurts after riding.. I blame the bars..
I still ride a bicycle daily for years w/o probs atall.
I saw someone with heritage using fat boy bars...
Looks like a great solution to me.
Any experiences from ppl here?
Thx

Just put Fatboy bars on my 06 Heritage. More comfortable than the awkward wrist angle of the original handlebars and look better too!

Thx

I like the lower and wider feel of the bars and for me it was all about the height and wrist angle. Even the newer models 09 and up have different handlebars so it must have been a common complaint....who knows. I am about 5'11" but if you are shorter you may want to think about adding the 4" curved risers with the Fatboy bars. There is more than enough length with the cables, brake line and switch wiring. I'm happy with the outcome and it cost about $100 and an hour's time to make the switch. I did have to re-work the front brake line to fit but no big deal. Just take your time and bend the hard line slowly and gradually. Hope it works out for you.

I'm going in the opposite direction, putting Heritage Classic bars on my 06 Heritage which came with 1" Fat Boy bars. I started with risers and they have worked well for height and pullback. I need to be a little more upright so the Heritage Classic bars were cheap and I am going to try that. I'm 5'8" with some nagging old fractures in my upper back and can't lean on the bars.

If you have back issues, you should look into the Helibars.

They are multi adjustable so you can put them where you need to so you can find that perfect spot.

exactly....I added the risers to my 14 Fatboy and it made all the difference. Like the bars but just wanted a little higher and didn't want the hassle of changing brake lines, etc. After adding the 4" risers it almost looks like it would take the6" too.....might be too tight though when turning the bars from side to side....
