I think I would cry if someone took a hammer to my tank. But Campy, what you did with yours looks awesome. I don't have the ***** to do something like that to mine. I'd wind up on Ebay lookin' for a new tank 'cause mine would be destroyed.

Good to hear you're sticking with the Deuce. With a more comfy
seat, her touchy will appreciate it.
I'll be keepin' my Stripper seat for when it's just me on it. I'm sure that Mustang seat will tons more comfortable, but it'll just kill the lines on my bike. The Mustang will only be put on when she wants to ride on the back. I'm willing to sacrifice some comfort for looks. Buying a new seat for my bike makes a lot more sense than buying a whole new bike for the seat. I'm glad she agreed.
Scratch that last long post. After talking to Mrs Live2Ride and bringing up the idea of getting a new seat instead of a new bike, I'm going to be able to hang on to my Deuce!!! I'm just going to order the Mustang Vintage Solo with Driver Backrest, the 11.5" Vintage Passenger Seat, and the huge Mustang backrest pad that mounts to the Harley backrest hardware I just bought. That'll only cost me about another $750 +tax. That's a whole lot cheaper than buying another bike and having to customize it, and I get to keep my bike!!
Glad to hear you're keeping your Deuce.Besides, itismuch cheaper just buying a new seat! [sm=goodidea.gif]
Well, guys. After a lot of back and forth of "I'm gettin' rid of the Deuce/I'm not gettin' rid of the Deuce," I got rid of the Deuce. It hurts and I'm saddened, but I traded it for a '08 Softail Custom. Now I got a new clean slate to work with so the fun of customizing can begin again. Thank you guys for all your help and advice. I can only hope the guys in the Softail Custom area are as close knit and as good of guys as the people in here. I'll still be poppin' in here from time to time, though.
