I'm getting some new tires for my 07 Deuce. I was going to go with a SE180 in the back and a Dunlop E3 up front. Will this combo be OK? It looks like the biggest E3 I can get is a 90/90. What's the biggest front tire I can go with with the stock front rim/fender anyway? Also, what's the definitive answer on if I'll need a spacer or not with the SE180 on my stock 07 rear? If I need a spacer which one? Is this the one I need (#41581-03A)?

Thanks for any input.

Crazy,
You definitely got my vote for BOTM. Good luck brother! I don't think you'll have a problem even though all the bikes you're up against are damn nice bikes.

Damn, I didn't know CC was in BOTM this month. If that's the case then there's no competition. You got it bro!!!!! It's been a long time since a deuce won.

lobo,
Have you had any issues with your Martin Bros pipes? I rode 250 miles with them and they turned yellow on me (which is odd since I told the dealer to make sure they were ceramic coated inside [:@]). Also, the heat shield on one of the pipes wasn't cut right and didn't fit how it was supposed to. And the sound was less than impressive. They sounded like a set of slip-ons. I picked the bike up from the dealer, rode to Myrtle Beach with them for the Fall Rally, and replaced them with a set of Cobra 2-into-1's. I'm much happier with the Cobras. I was just wondering if the quality was as crappy for you as it was for me. Maybe I just got a bad set.

l2r, i love the way mine sound. very loud and agressive.the only thing i can think of is when i bought them years agothey didn't come with baffles and the new ones do. don't know if they'reremovable or you have to drill them out.mine are just straight pipes. if you're comparing your mb pipes to slip ons then something's verywrong. theyshould sound much better than that.did the dealer ceramic coat them or did they martin bros. do the work? mb would send the pipes off to a professional but i thought i'd save $100 and have the dealer put some dyno coat and they blued after my 30 mile ride home. if someone does it right then you should have very minimal discoloration after thousands of miles, not 250. also, theydidn't offer heat shields'till a couple years afteri boughtmy pipes. once i boughtthemthey installed just fine.sorry you hadsucha bad experience.i was looking forward to seeing those bad boys on your bike. are you now stuck with an extra set of pipes?

Mine did have baffles in them, and that's what made them so quiet. I was really expecting some sound out of them, but the baffles restricted the pipes way too much it seems. It just seemed like the pipes were being choked. Before I got the Cobras, I was thinking about pulling the baffles out and putting torque cones in, just to give 'em some sound. I told the dealer to make sure they were ceramic coated so they wouldn't turn colors on me. I knew Martin Bros did this, so that's why I wanted them done. I asked them numerous times to make sure they were ceramic coated. Sure enough, they go on my bike and they're not ceramic coated. Not just the header was colored. It went all the way down past the heat shield. Had the pipes been ceramic coated inside and not turned yellow, I probably would have kept them and just had the heat shield replaced. Other than the heat shield not fitting right, the design of the pipes look frickin' awesome. They definitely turned heads for the short time they were on the bike. I took them back to the dealer yesterday, and the guy I was dealing with (the Parts Manager) agreed that they weren't ceramic coated and the heat shield was screwed up. He's supposed to call Martin Bros today to see about returning them. I figure that even if Martin Bros says they'll only exchange them for a new set, the dealer should still give me my money back. They can just have a new set in the back to sell to someone else. For the money that was spent on those pipes, I should have gotten much better quality. I'm very happy with the Cobras I put on. I gained quite a bit of power with them, and they sound great.
