2002 Deuce, mini apes, moved signals, used a SE filler which looks good from the front and side but not happy with the top of the filler, looks unfinished. I think a mini tach would help there

I would like to start out saying I have no bike atm but am looking into getting one. I am researching atm and a deuce looks like the bike for me. You cannot beat that long sleek looking tank and the versatility of being able to morph a single bike into any of the others. I know nothing about harley's, but have had a few rice pots in the past. I am a bit older now and just moved to Florida from Texas. I need a new toy since there are no rocks to climb here in me Rubicon.
I know this is not the right area to be posting something like this in, but it seemed the best place since the only HD that makes me want to hump the rear tire is a Deuce. Canuck, your bike is the BOMB !!!

What I am looking for is some peeps to help kind of decide for sure on what type of bike to get, although I am leaning heavily on a deuce, I felt ifI posted in this section I would not get side tracked by everyone relating how there model of bike is the best. Most of the other bikes have that fat look to them ie gas tank, while the deuce looks long lean and mean. I just read 90 pages here and my head is spinning a bit, while cloudy at the same time.

Crazy Canuck I think you have the best bike on here and your look is what I want out of a bike. I could go buy a chopper and have me axx hurting a block into the ride, but there seems to be a better way to have the best of both worlds. I rode a friends Deuce on sunday and fell in love with it. My questions to you would be what all have you done to your bike to get it that way ? it seems to have a rake, but not sure.I can see that you have lowered your bike, but not sure if its the lowering kit or a phat tail kit. I have read a little around and hear that the bike leans with this kit on her. I also thought a 180 tire was as big as you could go, but here i have seen posts stating otherwise.

Any of you are welcome to help me out, but please put approx cost of mods if possible. I can figure out most of the little stuff in accesseries. The main mods are whatI am looking for. Currently I would like to have a Deuce thats lowered, big radius pipes, shortened rear fender with biggest meat I can fit back there with stock setup. I am not sure about a phat tail kit yet. and bars like canucks. If I could only have his bike I would have what I wanted lol.
happy thanksgiving all!!......as far as mods, i have a rake kit(3 degrees)renegade wheels, a 200 rear tire kit, small tank lift to make the tank flow into the seat, shaved tail light, drag bars(they belong on the deuce)and a 103 stroker motor to back up all the chrome and flames....lol. 200 kit is from hogpro, raked trees are from vulcan engineering, tank lift is homemade, renegade wheels were about a grand each and are also from hogpro, taillight was shaved and paint was done by customflamepainting.com....most stuff i do myself with a little searching to find the right parts....good luck with your new deuce and build. hope that helps......

After looking at your great-looking bike, I've a question: did you have to use over-length clutch cable to fit the route you have? Thanks.

DD, is the 200 rear kit really worth buying?I am thinking on a 180tire for now, drag bars, and a set of VH black coated pipes the staright shot ones. I was thinking of going with CC's style bike, but your really does look very good. I am trying to get a 2007 w/500 mi on her for 15k. Just waiting on the guy to give in.
I have been looking at Rockers the last few days, but the deuce is the only bike with a narrow tank. All the rest of harley's look like a fat girl. Only the deuce had nice shapely lines, like a woman should have.

Lastly, how many of you are in FL ?? I live in Ft Myers

i think the 200 is a great way to go...all you really need is a narrow belt and a wheel that will handle it....no swingarm change. 180's look real good too, lots of great examples right here. crazy's bike and mine are a little different in their styling, each has its own personality.....proof that the deuce is the best bike to start from to build your own style of bike. there are lots more examples...this is where i come to get ideas and inspiration. as for the rocker.....um....its no replacement for the deuce....i'll leave it at that.

Happy thanksgiving to you man. How's the back treating you?

Many, many more nice Deuces on this website. DD,Voodoo,
Lobo, Pro1955, FXSTDau, just to name a few. Just remember
this. "You need to slam the rear end". It immediatelychanges the
hole attitude of the bike.

hey CC can you list the things done to your bike or pm with with them ?

My ride is going to end up looking like yours alot. One question tho.....I was thinking of having the tins painted with that super flat black old school stuff, but I am not sure if i can get a graphic on it.

CC, as for the 200 kit, is that tiny bit worth it ? since I can get a 180 to fit ? I did look at the heartland kits, they just seem a bit pricey and I would still have to buy a new rim. I would like to keep the mods cheap as possible at first since I am going to try and pay cash for the bike. I could step back a year or two and not get a 2007, but I just figured for 15, it would be a good deal.

OH, I would like to say that there is no way a stock looking bagger can beat either of your bikes, I would be proud to ride beside either of you.
