What is the difference between HD lowering kit and aftermarket (i.e. Progressive)?
I want to lower my 2011 XBones but not sure what is best for it. So far I want to keep the rear fender stock. I just want it to be lower.
What do you guys suggest?? This might be old news but I'm a new XBones owner and new to the Softail forum.
Pls advise.
Thanks!
I used the Burnout Cycles Lowering Kit I got from JP Cycles. I'm not sure it's available any more but it looks alot like this one: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/700-210
As you can see below, it lowered my rear end about two inches. I had an indy shop do the install but if you do a search here for "burnout lowering kit" there's plenty of info. on doing it yourself.

Thanks Jisham! Wow yoru Xbonez sits really nice when it's low like that. Do you know if I lower it 2" will I scrape if I ride 2-up?
Ok. It aint no picture. And I know this is a picture thread. But it was made with the Fatbone and the GoPro HD mounted to the side of the tank. I hope you enjoy.
