My suggestion for a ride: From Monte Sano, go north up to Highway 72 and head east. A little past a town called Gurley, take a left on 65. Take that up to and make a right on 146. take that over to 79 and head south (make a right). You can take that road all the way down to Scottsboro and Guntersville lake. There are some nice back roads in that area. You could even stop in at the Guntersville State Park Lodge and have Lunch. There's nice views of the lake from there. 431 will take you straight back up to Monte Sano...

I lived in Huntsville/Madison area for 30 plus years. Went to College over there in Athens fordHD2005. Us guys need to meet for a ride or drink one day.

I still have to do some work on my bike to get it road ready, I'm hoping to take a day/overnight weekend trip in the next couple of weeks. I'll post when/where I'm going if anyone else is interested.
