Yesterday I saw a couple of love bugs. I hate these little ba$tards with a passion. I just hope they are all gone by Biketoberfest. Anyone else see any yet?
I'm riding down to Biketoberfest fom New Jersey.
What'a a love bug and do I need to worry about them?
Septic, lets hope you never find out.
Actually they are ususlly in pairs. (attached to each other) and swarm so bad that they pound on you when your trying to ride. They explode when hit and they taste nasty. You have to get them off your paint or they will ruin it.
Hey thanks for the info. Any idea where we might start to encounter them.
We'll be riding straight down I-95.
Many thanks - Septic.
I don't know which is worse, the love bugs or the fact that you're gonna ride down I-95, which seems to be the most boring drive. When I lived in Northern Virginia, we had love bugs up there. Can't remember when exactly they came out, though. If you bring some polish and a clean rag, and you clean 'em off your bike when you stop for gas, you should be alright.
Are y'all talking about "Lady Bugs"? They're not so bad if you don't smile when go thru a horde of them, but you're right...they arepurdy nasty tasting.
