Looking for ideas on a 4 day ride. I live in Franklin NC and need some ideas on where to ride. I have done the BRP and the Cherohala Skyway already. Give me some ideas guys.
the easiest answer is just get on your scooter and point it. Come back in 4 days. Those are the best rides. As they say, the pick a direction...not a destination.
Colonial Williamsburg is a wonderful destination, not that the ride is 400 miles with no straightaways but, if you just want to get out and see something at your destination it would be a good place to have a nice time and learn a bit of history too.

I camped in your area and rode about 600 miles there last weekend. (Kickstand M/C Campground)
I rode 58,000 miles in 2007 and most of those 58,000 miles were in your area. With all those miles I rode in your area I have not even come close to seeing everthing there is to see up there.
SIM said it best, get on your bike and point, anywhere you end up will be great.
BTW: Saying you've already rode the BRP does not mean you've seen the BRP" My wife and I have rode the BRP from HWY 276 to HWY 19 back and forth as many as 8 times in one day. On the right days that road and everthing around it changes so often you could not ride it enough to possibly see everthing mother nature has to show you" if you ride the BRP another 10,000 times you'll never see everything it has to offer......
Go ride......ENJOY.......just go ride and ride SAFE"
I've gone to York, PA, did the factory tour, came back down Skyline Drive from the northen end to the Blue Ridge Parkway, followed that all the way to Waynesville and back home to Charlotte in 4 days.
Still looking for ideas? I would like to head westward from here but not sure where to go on only 4 days? I would like to have a destination in mind. Thanks!!!!!!
