OK y'all we are planning to ride somewhere, next Sunday February 5th. That is if the weather forecast continues to be for 50's and Fair weather. I'll just throw out these details, they are simply suggestions not firm plans we can work out the snags if there are any.
Leave Hwy 11 and 14 at 12 noon.
Ride some of the lower elevation back roads to Old Hwy 25, cut through Mountain Page to Saluda, NC. Ride Hwy 176 from Saluda to Tryon, NC. Once we get to Tryon we can see what the time factor is and either continue the ride or disperse from there.
From Tryon, we could take Hwy 108 to #9 to Lake Lure, or
ride the back roads back to Hwy's 11 & 14 or
continue down Hwy 176 to Lake Bowen in Boiling Springs, SC which is just above Spartanburg and close to Hwy 11.
many, many variations to this.
Like I sad these are just suggestions, from all day rides to a couple of hours.
I can meet anyone from out of the immediate area in Spartanburg, and ride with them to Hwy's 11 & 14 which is about a 30 minute trip depending on traffic.
Luke jump in here, you have a lot more experience than me on this type of planning.
We need to stay in lower elevations. I don't have a preference. If the folks from NC want to join up we can meet on Hwy 11 and ride toward York. The loop from York to Chester to Lockhart through Pacolet and back north is not bad.
Highway 11 to the West is always a good ride. Like I said it really doesn't matter. It's not the destination it's the ride.
Sounds good to us. Not sure yet what's going on though. If it works out, we may just meet you in York or Chester. Wish I had a map of the route your talking about.
Keith I sent you a map. Jon we will keep plans updated here. As of now how about 10am at 11 & 14? Luke? It'll take between 1-1/2 - 2 hours to get to York and meet K & K, and maybe gaston and some more riders..looks like rain till Saturday.

Hey guys that should be my weekend off. I can't remember but isn't someone from monroe NC? If so I am about 15 minutes from Monroe located off of Rocky River Rd in Lancaster SC. Maybe we could get together and them meeet the others. Just keep me posted on the plans.
