We probably won't get any where near Montgomery, although that is my place of birth. We will probably do most of our riding to Mobile on Ms.Hwy 45. I was just wanting to be sure we didn't miss something good while in Mobile. Looking forward to the real fresh seafood though.
Coming to Mobile via Hwy 45 should be a nice country ride. One thing though, watch out for the log trucks and such. They think they own the road.

I'm familiar with Hwy 45. I do a lot of work in Aberdeen, West Point, Louisville and Columbus. So I am familiar with the road and what lurks on it. We migh even detour and ride the Natchez some - don't know yet, don't want to make the trip to Mobile a 3 day ride. As I mentioned the wife has never been to Fla and I want to be sure she gets to see the sights.
If he comes down Hwy 45 he will meet I-65 at Exit 8 in Mobile.
Oh yea, Hwy 45 is a nice ride, but the last 4 or 5 miles is packed with heavy traffic and undesireables.

+1 on the "undesirables", ha! Best to take US 45 to AL 158 (north of Eight Mile) east to I-65...you'll avoid the fair city of Prichard. AL 158's a relatively new and straight, 4-lane highway with 65 mph speed limit...about 4-6 miles I'm guessing. PM me about the beer...I'm all about some "Southern Hospitality"!
Who knows maybe we can setup a meet and greet while we're down that way. I have no issues with it - I've traveled to Canada (twice) to meet internet friends!

I heard that about Pritchard. Was on a PGR ride from Clanton to Mobile one time and my scoot boke down in Pritchard. My Dad lives in Mobile so I call him up and say "Hey I need a trailer and a ride to the shop and I im Pritchard." He says he ain't goin to Pritchard. Man I was like you better get your *** up here and get me. LOL good times on the road.
Oh Slacker, make sure y'all check out Mobile and Eastern Shore HD. Owned by the same guy, but both are 2 of the best shops in AL.
