Yes, I've rode Hwy. 90. It borders the N.C. gamelands and intersects with Hwy. 181. T.R. on 181 to hit the BRP or the high country.

Just past (a few miles) the Hwy. 90 intersection in Lenoir on Hwy. 321 N. is Hwy. 268. T.R. on it to go to Wilkesboro. Road is narrow and twisty at first. It's a N.C. Scenic Byway.

let me know. I did a trip this summer with another member out of conn. We went out to Sturgis and around. 4400 miles in 8 days. Just take your time and take some breaks you should be fine. It will probably take 8 hrs. or so for your little trip.

Hwy 176 Tryon to Saluda
Green River Cove Road and or Holbert Cove Road, then Silver Creek Road to Mill Spring, 108 Towards Columbus to Houston Road to White Oak Mountain Road, top of the Mountain is a great view East, ride around the Mountain 1/4 mile there is a great view West, take Skyuka Road back down the mountain to Hwy 108

From Saluda take Hwy 176 to East Flat Rock to Little River Road, to Crab Creek Road to Hwy 64 to Hwy 276 thru the Pisgah Forest up to the BRP, take the BRP South or West if you will to Hwy 215, back to Hwy 64 at Rosman, take 64 to Cashiers, pick up 107 to Sylva, at Silva take 23 back to the Parkway

over around N Wilkesboro, Hwy 18 is pretty good, you can take it over to the Sparta area, try Hwy 88 near Sparta and go West, or check out 194, 113, or 93 into Va, if ya get as far West as Sparta, ya gotta ride 93 up into Va to Hwy 58, go West to Damascus, take 133 to Shady Valley and 421, 133 and 421 at Shady Valley is known as the Snake.
from hwy 80 in Marion, turn left into town, right on bypass get off first exit and turn left this will be Sugar Hill/ Montfort Cove rd, stay on Monfort Cove till Rutherford co, a mile or so in, Bill's Creek rd bears right follow Bills creek to Buffalo Shoals and turn right....be looking for the Rock Yard Tavern on the left (biker only bar with FREE beer....yes its totally FREE) follow Buffalo to the end, you will be at Lake Lure marina on 64/74 right towards lake....and given dry weather will be loaded with bikes......

When 64 hits 74-A near Bat Cave try heading towards Ashville on 74-A. Turn around at Fairview and head back to Lake Lure. Great twisties in that short stretch.
