Gonna be ridin this area next week from Tuesday to Friday. Whats a must see in this area besides the park. We are coming from Cruso NC, gonna hit the Dragon and Cherohala one day, ride down toward Blairsville and Suches GA and where ever else. Any suggestions???? Thanks, TV.

 

Yeah, head into Brevard, in Buncombe County after you get an appetite and stop in for some great food at "Rocky's". Its an old fashioned Soda Shop with a gift shop attached. The gift shop is "Bullwinkle's". The BLT is highly recommended. It comes with sweet pickled tomatoes on the side. Chocolate Malts are perfect. Hard to find anyone that makes them anymore.

Best thing about the diner is you have to ride the mountain twisties to get to it!!

T Rat didnt find Rockys but thanks for the response. Had a great 3 days ridin. Put in 966 miles. We rode 64 west out of Pittsboro all the way to Statesville and somehow got on 70 to Morganton, back on 64, stopped at Butchs BBQ in Morganton for lunch. Kept on 64 through Lake Lure and on to Brevard, south on 276 to Ceasers Head, down the hill to get gas, back up into NC and west on 276 to Cruso for the night. The next mornin we ran the Dragon 2 times, went through Tapoco to Robinsville to 74 then Wayah road to 64 to Franklin and 28 back to Lauda and back to Cruso. The last mornin we took the Blue Ridge Parkway north from 276 to Boone and 421 east to home. One heck of a 3 day ride. Going back in August if not before.
