I just 'shot myself in the foot' so to speak. I started teardown for a cam swap. For most people it could be done in a day or so but I have very limited time. I usually get a few hours here, few hours there.
I've been ridiculed for liking Sonny's BBQ. I used to work right across the street from the one in Rock Hill @ Celanese. Used to eat a pound of bbq for lunch. The waitress always gave me a double-take when I ordered just that. lol
Gus, are you speaking of this saturday/sunday? I could make that happen but I'll be in my truck.
Memorial Day weekend? We have friends comming from out of state that weekend and were planning some kind of overnighter from say Beaufort to North MB (Not MB City) and back to Columbis. My friend just bought an '08 Superglide and he's bringing it here to hit some good southern riding. Comming from Ohio.
This weekend isnt good for me either. I have a wedding to go to in Ohio and am leaving at 5:00am friday and getting back sometime late Sunday.
Classic....if you want to take your friend on some good southern riding, don't go to the coast. Raods are way too straight. I'd head up towards Greenville / clemson. Some nice riding up that way.
I'm with Vic, If he's from South Eastern Ohio. Don't take him to the coast. He will just say "is this all you got?"
I had a Nash vaccum pump maintenance seminar in Spartanburg today so I took backroads home and made a ride of it. I usually ride somewhere every weekend. When somebody wants to get together specify the weekend and day and we will make a plan.
They are comming from Northeast Ohio. They said they would like to hit the coast at least sometime while here. Maybe a day ride there then something else later. We have a B-Day party on Paris Island on the 29th so thats at least 1 day right there.
Oooh, that makes sense. Not like Ohio has any coastline, and no I don't consider bordering a great lake as coastline.
Oh ya, I hear ya on that!! It is rather boaring along the lake but there are some nice parks and places to see. There is a new and up &comming ralley on the weekend after labor day in a resort town up there. Check it out.. www.thunderonthestrip.com it is about 15 miles from my home town. The town their comming from is a lakeshore town right on the very northeast tip of Ohio. Also where im from. We used to head south or over into PA for the hills. This will be all new to my friends because they arent very well traveled if ya know what I mean. The ride plans still have to be made. probably not till they get here this friday evening.
The ride went pretty good last weekend. didnt hit rain untill Monday evening on the way home. Spent saturday and a good part of sunday on Paris Island and some riding in the Beaufort area. Then headded up 17 to Charlston and spent a night in Mt. Pleasant. went over to fort moultrie and Isle of Palms then back to Columbia. Almost 500 miles all total.
