I have 2 uncles up in S.C. and they said they'd rather stay there. Both were born and raised in Texas. They're in Easley.

That said....... Dallas traffic sucks! Everybody is in a bigger hurry than you. The weather is pretty strange. You can ride in the middle of "winter" with just a t-shirt, or you may need a jacket in the middle of "summer".

Dallas is much like Houston now...a melting pot of foreigners ..True,traffic is horrible. They come out of nowhere. Why would you want to leave all those trees just for asphalt ?If is for the money,it aint everything .

it is beautiful where we are now in SC. I love it here, but I am ready for a change. i have been here since 1997 from Michigan. The cost of living here is really high, and the school quality in SC is really low. My daughters are almost school age, so I kinda want to get them out of SC. I want to stay in the south, but really don't want to be in Hurricane country or in georgia either..... figure Texas should be okay...

Look at Aledo,Weatherford or any suburb/town south of Dallas/Ft Worth.Unless you want to feel like you are "trapped".I would take a hard look at it since you are from a small , small populated area.Just a personal choice.

If I were you, I'd suggest living as close to your work place as possible. However, if you work downtown, they now have the light rail system that makes the commute more bearable. If you live in the northern or southern burbs, you aren't far from some nice riding. Like was mentioned earlier, it's year round riding which is nice.
