Trying to put this thing together in the Social Group isn't working, so I decided to create this thread to figure out how we are going to get to Albuquerque / Taos together.
Please keep this thread on topic with the riders that are planning to do at least part of the run.
Hoping to get as many of us as possible to meet in Arlington at the Desert Rose this Sunday around 1 pm. They close the kitchen at 2 pm and have pretty good burgers.
Address is 18300 S Old Us Highway 80, Arlington, AZ.
Dave, Bob, John and I all have Friday off, and are thinking about leaving about 8 am Friday morning and riding the 410 miles to Albuqurque. We're planning on making a lot of stops for sight seeing and meals, and getting into Albuquerque friday evening. Then making the run to Taos with Bill through Madrid Saturday morning.
If any of you can't go with us, then you can put together another group on this thread.

That does sound much more comfortable than some of the other options being tossed around. The latest info in the green chili thread had the Saturday Madrid ride removed. Are they still planning on doing that? Not that it really matters since we can still do it.
Yeah, in the main thread it was offered as the route from Albuquerque to Taos on Saturday for those who get there early, then Saturday afternoon and Sunday are the Taos area rides.
I vote for the Friday plan. 410 miles in one day is an average day ride for us, no problem. I still don't know how long I'm going for, I would like to do the whole trip, but $$$ will be the determining factor.
