I plan to lower the bike about 2 inches with the lowering blocks. To do this I left some clearance for the bags. I did install the quick connects to use the rack. I have a sissy bar I put on when I have my back seat on. I just hope I left enough room.
A word to the wise, Viking Bags are like the little girl with the curl in her hair; when she's good, she's very good and when she's bad she's horrid. I had a few issues with them and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired - it's not like it was when Bobby was there. He was always very helpful in helping to solve a customer's problem, now not so much. G-d willing and the creek don't rise, you will get lucky and not have any problems with the product.

Haha, I have to laugh at the analogy you used there. I'm going to be one to admit that we're a growing company and since bobby was here, we've actually expanded to have 5 customer service representatives available to help your needs. We're still in the process of figuring out small kinks and testing all of the products out thoroughly and finding solutions to the relocation problem we've been hearing so much about. I assure you all that come 2015, we're going to have a lot of new much more specific brackets to offer you.
Looking forward to seeing the photos of the bags mounted up! Hope the install goes well!
I personally had a great experience with the customer service. I did find that something's didn't fit exactly as described. The relocation bracket had to be tweaked a little. I think that anybody that would have the ability to mount bags should be able to figure it out. I don't think that somebody should rely on a company to hold your hand during an install. Every bike is different and every application can not be the same. I have not seen to many stock Harley's. Something has been done. I posted pics to hopefully help the next guy with ideas on what to do. The bags look great on my bike and have already proven to be very useful for me. We will see the test of time. I ride all year in all conditions. So time will tell.
