I finally blacked out my upper forks with the black vinyl tape, threw on the sissy bar & the biltwell sporty-8 seat...i'm leaving the brake & rotor setup alone since lyndall & RSD are are not making me confident they have products that will fit the 2014 and up 48. everything has to be modified and i'll end up spending big money. the stock setup is fine for now. just waiting on the RSD diesel wheels to come in and i'm done for the summer. thinking I might paint the bike a gunmetal color & chop the rear fender this winter...
so after 25 yrs riding with a skid lid, I went and bought a biltwell bonanza DOT helmet, and a pair of goggles. I must admit, it's pretty comfortable, warm, and quiet...I know I was too cool to get one when I was younger, but this is a nice helmet, and I don't look like kazoo from the flintstones...lol also, after losing about 10+ pairs of expensive sunglasses, I don't have to worry about the goggles falling off...i'll still probably go back to wearing the skid lid in 90+ temperature days, we'll see..

"almost done...update" and it will stay that way... they are always a work in progress! hehehehe
Bike looks great! Congratulations on the mods made so far.
I will most likely follow your mod on that rear belt pulley... love the black out look on it.
On the helmet, I love the looks of those open face helmets with the goggles. Can't tell you amount of times that I have almost pulled the trigger on one only to be riding and being hit in the face with a rock while using my full-face... and then I just remove them from my cart/wishlist. Guess what I am going to do now, that is right, looking at them again.
Very cool looking , kinda badass and sinister .
I know what you mean about helmets , I just bought a modular and I like it . ( can I admit that ? ).
The Cokers look neat , I would like to hear more about them myself.
Mick
Have you put the cokers to the test yet. Once you get to trust them youll be amazed at how well they stick.
you know, at first I was a little hesitant to hit a curve at a decent speed, but now i'm getting more comfortable with them I don't even think about it, ive scraped the pegs a few times and they're fine. they do grab though on a grooved road or a bridge more than others, but nothing I cant get over lol

if your wearing goggles, all you have to worry about is your nose, chin & cheeks, but you can wear a cool, mean looking bandanna and look badass and not feel anything, unless its a big rock lol like I said, I always wore a skid lid, so everything was exposed to the elements except my eyes, my forehead, ears, nose, cheeks ect, used to get abused... so this is heaven lol

if your thinking about getting the cokers, get them, if anything, just for the "those are cool looking tires" comments lol

between you and me, for the $100-$150 for the biltwell bonanza, you should get one, if you don't like it, ebay it. someone will buy it for $10 less than retail price. not a big loss considering what you've probably spent on experimenting on/switching bike parts lol...been there done that lol
Yup, looking good! Post some more pics when you get the new rims mounted. I can't wait to replace the stock tires for a pair of cokers. I'm just too cheap to do it before I wear them out. I want something that is more sticky and softer.
